# ECP5 fabric envelope refusal record — 2026-08-30

## Result and scope

Company-authored physical-board engineering evidence: with SW5-1 physically
OFF, a volatile ECP5 image submitted two CFS proposals to a fabric-owned
policy. The fixed fabric envelope is 0–100. Retained raw UART reported:

The three values are initial status, status after payload 200, and status
after payload 50. `4` is physical disarm; `12` is physical disarm plus the
fabric-owned envelope-refusal bit. Thus the tested over-limit request was
rejected in fabric, while the later in-envelope request cleared that diagnostic
bit but did not create a permit. The image was loaded through JTAG into
volatile SRAM. No configuration flash, expansion pin, product I/O or actuator
was used.

## Scope

Scope: one fixed fabric envelope decision with the board switch disarmed, in volatile SRAM on the ECP5 evaluation board.

## Reproducibility

The completed internal record is

It retains frozen source inputs and hashes, staged diagnostic captures, the
final 724-byte firmware image and bitstream, routed build log, JTAG load log,
tool versions and raw UART. The record also retains the over-size 2,932-byte
diagnostic firmware and the clean-build correction; neither is reported as a
policy pass.
