# ECP5 physical-arm gate record — 2026-08-29

## Result and scope

Company-authored physical-board engineering evidence: SW5 position 1 was made
a dedicated fabric input that physically arms or disarms the LED gate. With
the switch open (the board's disarmed state), deliberately arbitrary
machine-mode firmware issued a direct CFS permit request. Retained UART
reported:

Status `4` means the fabric observed the physical arm condition as disarmed.
The CFS request did not create permit. The image was loaded through JTAG into
volatile SRAM only; it used onboard LEDs, UART and SW5-1 only. Configuration
flash, expansion pins, product I/O and actuators were not touched.
